Prof. Dr. Kamil Gülpınar

Prof. Dr. Kamil Gülpınar was born in 1974 in Antakya. He completed his primary school education at Iskenderun Namik Kemal Primary School and his secondary and high school education at Iskenderun Istiklal Makzume Anatolian High School. In 1992, he graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialty education in 2005 at the same university’s Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery.

He worked as a specialist doctor at Private Ankara Güven Hospital between 2005-2006. Between 2006 and 2023, he worked as a faculty member at Ufuk University Faculty of Medicine. In 2012, he was an observer at the Endocrine Surgery Department of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute within the scope of the Cleveland Clinic International Observership Program.

He has many scientific publications published in local and foreign journals. He is married and has one child. His specialties include sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, gastric balloon, endoscopic intragastric balloon and gastric band surgery.
